Sir Roger Manwood’s School (SRMS) is a member of the Dover, Deal and Sandwich Partnership; a group of like-minded schools who work together for the good of the students in our community. Training at SRMS will give you the opportunity to access the expertise of the schools within the partnership and complete your four-week contrasting placement in one of the DDS schools.
As a trainee teacher at SRMS, you will be joining a team of motivated and creative professionals who have our students at the heart of all they do. In addition to having excellent subject knowledge and a high level of academic rigour, all staff show a dedication to their own professional development and work in a supportive team.
Your training at SRMS is designed to ensure you have the very best foundation of knowledge and skills on which to build your future career. As such, we aim to develop your reflective practice through training sessions led by senior members of staff and through regular developmental observations. You will also be supported through meetings involving the Professional Mentor and your Subject Mentor. These meetings will give you an opportunity to ask questions, develop your thinking and explore new ways to meet the needs of the students in your care. You will also take part in a full programme of induction to ensure you feel part of the SRMS community.
At SRMS, we currently offer training through the School Direct programme. Unsalaried vacancies for 2019-2020 are as follows:
- Physical Education
- Spanish (vacancy filled)
