A strong House System is used as a vehicle for promoting the extra-curricular life of the school. The House System provides opportunities for students throughout the school to show initiative and leadership, by taking on positions of responsibility and helping to organise events. The Houses also foster an added loyalty and identity to the school via a smaller school within the school. There are four houses at Sir Roger Manwood's school: Dorman, Knolles, Trappes and Tudor. The House competition is intended to encourage co-operation between students of different year groups, as well as a greater sense of belonging to the school community. All our students are a member of one of the four houses and compete in a wide range of academic and sporting competitions.
